Actors Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Talulah Riley appeared very happy as they got married in a lovely wedding ceremony in Hertfordshire last Saturday (22 June).
Brodie-Sangster, aged 34, famously known for his role as Sam in the romantic comedy Love Actually from 2003, and Riley, aged 38, who portrayed Annabel Fritton in the 2005 movie St Trinian's, had been in a relationship for two years before revealing their engagement in July 2023.
The Sun got pictures of them leaving St George's Church in Anstey, Hertfordshire. The church is really old, from the 14th century. Riley was wearing a pretty white dress with a big skirt, and her hair was up in a bun with a long veil. Brodie-Sangster had on a fancy suit with grey striped pants and a floral vest.
The two performers were spotted smiling as the attendees tossed confetti while they strolled hand in hand through the church grounds and departed in a carriage.
The couple initially crossed paths while working on Danny Boyle's series Pistol for Disney+ in March of 2021. Their relationship was made public for the first time when they attended the Baftas together in March of 2023.
Riley was married two times before to billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX. They first met at a London club in 2008, not long after Musk's divorce from his ex-wife Justine Long. They were married and divorced twice, once from 2010 to 2012, and again from 2013 to 2016.
When Brodie-Sangster shared the news of their engagement, he posted a photo of them on a gondola with the caption: "Excited to share that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is in the air X," making a cute nod to a line from the movie Love Actually.
Talulah officially announced their engagement on X, posting the news on the social media platform, Twitter.
"I am thrilled to announce that Thomas Brodie-Sangster and I are getting married after being in a relationship for two years!" she exclaimed.
When Musk saw her announcement, he responded with a tweet saying "Congratulations!" along with a red heart emoji.
Brodie-Sangster has appeared in various popular films such as Nanny McPhee, Maze Runner, and Nowhere Boy where he portrayed a young Paul McCartney. He also had a role in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. His performance as Jojen Reed in Game Of Thrones helped him gain a new group of fans.
In Riley's book The Quickening, she expresses gratitude to Musk, her former spouse, for being an ideal ex-partner.
"He's an amazing friend who always has my back. Our relationship is in a positive place where we treat each other well, which is truly wonderful. I have a deep love for him," she shared with The Independent in 2022.
She justified her choice to divorce and then marry Musk by saying that even though it may have seemed odd, it seemed reasonable at the time.
"I think we decided to get married again simply because it seemed strange to continue being in a relationship without being officially married. It just felt like the natural next step, almost like a routine," she explained.
"He is an amazing friend. He always has my back. Our friendship is in a good place and we treat each other well, which is truly wonderful. I have so much love for him."
