Chang Kuo-wei, the boss of Starlux Airlines, took its first flight from Taipei to Los Angeles as a pilot. Kuo-wei asked Sam Chui, a famous internet influencer, to come in the cockpit for a photo. However, he didn't get permission from the CAA.
Chui runs a YouTube channel about flying with three million followers. He put up a pic on Insta with Kuo-wei, who's the boss of StarLux Airlines. They took a flight together from Taipei to Los Angeles. Kuo-wei was piloting the plane himself! It was a really good trip.
More than 20,000 people liked the post. Chui was invited to join other influencers and press on the flight, according to the Independent.
Kuo-wei's actions broke Taiwan's Aircraft Flight Operation Regulations. These state that only authorized personnel and Flight Dispatchers can enter the flight crew compartment of an aircraft.
The CAA is checking the situation. Kuo-wei was called for questioning by them as reported by Taiwan News.
Starlux Airlines said in an email to Insider that they will follow the CAA's investigation and final ruling.

Kuo-wei might get a warning or a fine of about US $2,000 for breaking the rules. Liberty Times Net reported this.
Kuo-wei went to Japan to say sorry. The flight got cancelled. The passengers had to wait for a long time. They had to stay at the airport all night.
