Swansea vs Middlesbrough

Paddy McNair returned to the Middlesbrough starting line-up at Swansea City in Michael Carrick's only change from last weekend's victory over Reading.

McNair returns to the side after missing the game due to the facial injury he suffered at West Brom the weekend before, replacing Dael Fry in the team who misses out through illness. Fry isn't in the match-day 18-man squad at all as a result.

On the bench there is also one change, with young striker Sonny Finch replacing Isaiah Jones in the 18. That means that Anfernee Dijksteel retains his place on the bench, while Matt Crooks, who missed out last weekend with a slight knock, was still not ready to return to the squad for this game.

Meanwhile, Carrick has kept faith in the forward four that fired five goals back at the Riverside, with Aaron Ramsey particularly impressive after replacing Marcus Forss in that side. Forss once again has to make do with a place on the bench.

Meanwhile, the home side start with Boro academy graduate Nathan Wood at centre-back. Russell Martin has made One change in total, with Matt Grimes returning after illness to replace the injured Joe Allen.

Starting XI: Steffen, Smith, McNair, Lenihan, Giles, Howson, Hackney, Ramsey, McGree, Akpom, Archer

Subs: Roberts, Bola, Dijksteel, Mowatt, Barlaser, Forss, Finch.
