Sven-Göran Eriksson, who used to manage the English football team, has disclosed that he has cancer that cannot be cured, and he could survive for just one year in the ideal conditions.

Eriksson was in charge of England for a period of five years until he departed following the World Cup in 2006. He resigned from his more recent position as sporting director at Swedish club Karlstad 11 months ago due to concerns over his health.

During an interview with Swedish Radio P1, the 75-year-old disclosed that he is battling a disease which is not favorable and it is believed by everyone to be cancer, which is true. However, he intends to put up a fight for as long as he possibly can.

I understand that it could last a year at most, or possibly even longer if things go well. However, there is also the possibility that it may be shorter than that. To be honest, I don't believe my physicians can accurately predict how long it will take. They cannot determine a specific timeline.

"Don't dwell on it. You need to deceive your mind. If I constantly thought about it, I would just be home all day feeling down, thinking I'm not fortunate, and all those negative thoughts."

It's quite simple to find yourself in such a predicament. However, it's important to focus on the bright side of situations and not let failures bring you down, as it could be the greatest failure of them all.
