Eriksson, who is 76 years old, announced earlier this year that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was approaching the final stages of his life.

He mentioned that the most optimistic outcome would give him just one more year to live.

The former England manager sent a message to his past players, coaches, and fans in a fresh documentary on Amazon Prime. He expressed his wish to be remembered as a person known for his positive attitude.

While watching the movie, he also talked about how his life was like a "fairy tale", and mentioned that Fryken lake, which is close to his house in Sweden, might be where he wants to be buried when he dies.

He expressed that he believed it was a perfect spot to rest. The remnants could be scattered in the river at this location. It gave him a sense of belonging, like being at home.

Learn more: Nancy Dell'Olio, the former partner of Sven-Göran Eriksson, was unaware that he only had a year to live and now intends to reconnect with him.

In his farewell statement, he mentioned: "I have lived a fulfilling life. We may all fear the inevitable end, but we must also acknowledge that death is a natural part of life."

He said: "You need to learn to acknowledge it as it is. Hopefully, in the end, some people will say, he was a decent person, but not everyone will say that.

I want to be remembered as a person who always tried to stay positive and do his best. Don't feel bad, just smile.

Thanks to everyone - the coaches, players, and fans - for an amazing experience.

Look after yourself and look after your life. And enjoy living it.

The camera then shifts back to Eriksson at his house as he finishes his statement by saying "goodbye".

This revelation about his affairs was shared in the documentary as well.

Eriksson grabbed the attention of the media when news of his cheating scandal while coaching the England national soccer team was revealed to the public.

Explaining his behavior, he stated that "sexual activity is a positive aspect of life that we all enjoy."

He said, "The person who said 'you only live once' was correct. I lived a great life, maybe even too great. There are consequences for living life to the fullest."

I believe that everyone is afraid of the day when it comes to an end, when life ends. It's important to come to terms with this reality and accept it as it is.
