Sunderland beat Plymouth to move back into top six

. The player, Jobe Bellingham, did not start the match but instead entered as a substitute. He then proceeded to score an outstanding third goal for the team Sunderland.

Sunderland managed to overturn Plymouth Argyle's lead and secure a significant triumph at the Stadium of Light, which saw them return to the Championship play-off positions.

Michael Beale's Black Cats demonstrated their determination to achieve a draw in the derby match against Middlesbrough last weekend. However, their resilience was further exhibited when they managed to alter the course of the game as Ryan Hardie succeeded in escaping the offside trap. He proceeded to deftly round Anthony Patterson and composedly send the ball into the net, thereby giving Argyle the lead.

Sunderland's Pierre Ekwah scored a powerful goal with a low shot after being set up by Patrick Roberts to even the score after half-time. Just seven minutes later, Argyle fell behind when Jack Clarke received a well-placed pass from Trai Hume on the left and managed to slalom through defenders before scoring a goal that went in off the post, beyond the reach of Conor Hazard.

The Sunderland team brought in Jobe Bellingham as a substitute and he quickly showed his worth by scoring the third goal. The ball hit the post and went in, leaving Hazard, the goalkeeper, unable to stop it. Bellingham's impact was immediate and strong.

Plymouth's reaction was subdued after the team suffered their first loss in the Championship since the end of December, when a decisive goal was scored by the opposition. This strike was achieved by Ian Foster's team.

Despite some discontent among certain Sunderland fans towards manager Beale since he took over from Tony Mowbray, the team is still a significant contender in the race for promotion.

In November, they suffered a defeat of 2-0 at Home Park due to their wastefulness when they could not take advantage of 24 shots. In contrast, they were more precise this time and as a result, they were more successful.

Dan Neil played a crucial role in the midfield by ensuring that things were running smoothly. Alongside him, Clarke was a constant threat, and with Roberts' comeback, the team's attacking line became more well-rounded. As a result, they have the potential to replicate their previous season's success and make it to the play-offs once again.

Since taking over after Steven Schumacher moved to Stoke City, Foster has managed to stabilize the team. However, despite achieving their first win away from home this season against Swansea last week, they were unable to repeat this performance in their latest match. Foster's team once again struggled when playing away from home.

Having mentioned that, Argyle experienced a tiring FA Cup match during the middle of the week with Leeds, which ultimately ended in their elimination during added time. Furthermore, this marked their initial loss with the Liverpudlian in the Championship. Nevertheless, they are currently only trailing behind the relegation zone by seven points.

Michael Beale, the coach of Sunderland, spoke to BBC Radio Newcastle, saying:

During the break, we exchanged sincere thoughts and once the second half began, I observed that our performance had greatly improved.

All of our four goals were fantastic, but I'm extremely happy with the three we scored. It's great to see different players on our team scoring and we've managed to score three goals in another home game. This is a major advantage for us.

It's amazing how we were not so great in the beginning of the game, but later we played really well. This is how it is sometimes when you handle a young team. The victory is crucial since it has helped us move up the standings.

During an interview with BBC Radio Devon, Ian Foster, who is in charge of Plymouth, shared his thoughts.

We would like to extend our congratulations to them for a remarkable performance during the latter part of the game. It's our responsibility to acknowledge our errors during that period and take them as lessons to improve our skills.

Regarding the initial portion, we were close to flawless, yet we need to sustain the same level of performance in the following 45 minutes.

The two hours of play on Tuesday during the FA Cup exhausted the team, but we were determined to advance, so we won't allow that to be a justification.

Our upcoming schedule includes games against Coventry City, Leeds, West Brom and Middlesbrough. Despite the long journey ahead, we will have two days to prepare for the Coventry City match. These are challenging games, but our hardworking staff and players deserve them. We will do our best to secure favorable results.
