Every year, there are thousands of Facebook moms who eagerly declare "New Year, New Me" as a way to start fresh. However, for us as a football club, our Facebook mom happens to be Steve Davison, who is quick to make it clear that Sunderland AFC isn't planning to change anything and will remain the same club in the new year.

After the recent off-field derby incident and Mick Beale's lack of leadership to disprove the critics, the upcoming meeting between the supporter group and the club - which includes Kyril Louis-Dreyfus - is a positive sign that the club recognizes and is willing to discuss both on and off-field problems.

Apart from problems related to infrastructure and other factors, our team faced a challenging situation on Friday night when we played against Hull City, who had many injured players. It was a test for our team, which lacks confidence and needs to win in front of a disappointed fanbase.

At exactly 7P.M., the latest updates from the team were posted on social media, and many people were happy to hear that Nazariy Rusyn would be in charge this week, especially after calls for new personnel were made last week. Unfortunately, Aji Alese was still injured, so Jenson Seelt took his place, leading to Trai Hume moving to right-back.

The match started off at a consistent speed. Similar to the last game, there wasn't much difference between the two teams and most of the game was played in the center of the field. As usual, Alex Pritchard stood out as our most innovative player. Although, Hull's Lewis Coyle did a good job of keeping this season's standout player, Jack Clarke, from making too many impressive moves.

Although Hull managed to maintain possession for some time, they were not very dangerous in attack. Overall, Rosenior's team played defensively and stayed back, preventing any successful attempts from us. The beginning of the game was dull and unremarkable, with very little opportunity to create any chances. It was a big difference from last season's exciting 4-4 draw, with both teams attacking and defending with equal intensity.

The start of the second half showed some potential when Clarke tried to make a move down the left side. However, even with Rusyn's contribution to advancing the play, the absence of a clear target forward continued to harm our team's chances. Despite Trai Hume's near miss and numerous corner opportunities, we suffered an unfortunate and perhaps predictable setback in the 71st minute.

Anthony Patterson stood up to Billy Sharp when a wayward pass from Luke O'Nien led to a corner kick (which, upon closer examination, should have been a goal kick). During the resulting play, we failed to effectively clear the ball, allowing Fabio Carvalho, a new addition to the Tigers' team, to shoot and deftly score off of Dan Neil's deflection.

After falling behind by one goal, the team made some substitutions. Hemir finally had the chance to appear, along with Abdoullah Ba and Timothy Pembele. We tried hard to score but Hull's defense was strong and we didn't have many good opportunities to score.

The end of the game was met with boos again, which only adds to the mounting pressure on Michael Beale, the players, and the recruitment team. It's apparent that changes must be made swiftly, especially in the acquisition of a striker, midfielder, and fullback before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

It may be debated whether it's reasonable to evaluate Beale's performance after only one month as head, but he won't have the luxury of time. The dissatisfaction among fans is increasing with each result, making the situation more urgent.

Up until now, there hasn't been much improvement with the new manager. The problems that we had with Mowbray are still present. In fact, it seems like we are even worse at tactics, lacking in self-assurance, and unable to effectively attack. This is concerning.

Rapid progress is necessary, and it should happen without delay.
