A calm and confident performance, not truly challenged but handled everything effortlessly.

He struggled to keep up with the fast start at the beginning, but he quickly adjusted and wasn't challenged defensively after that. He made a great tackle when the game was already in their favor, but most of his time was spent working alongside Rigg and Roberts.

O’Nien had a successful game, scoring a goal and assisting another. He also received praise for his excellent defensive work, keeping the Wednesday attackers under constant pressure. His goal came from a well-timed run, and he also set up Mayenda's goal with a strong tackle.

He showed strong defensive skills, using his speed effectively to defend against Wednesday's attacks and successfully winning aerial duels in his own penalty area.

He scored the first goal by making a fantastic run to the far post and getting on the end of Roberts' free kick. He also had another header that set up Rigg for a near goal and was a constant danger in the opponent's penalty area. He didn't have to work too hard on defense.

Dan Neil Raves: 8/10

Seems perfectly positioned in the number six spot, stationed in the heart of the field and dictating the game. Showed excellent pressing skills and served as a reliable leader for us in the midfield.

A very impressive performance was shown by the substitute who came on for the injured Alan Browne. He got an assist after his shot was redirected to O’Nien for the third goal, and also played a part in setting up Clarke for another goal. The only thing that was lacking was a goal, and he almost scored one at the end of the first half but was denied by a great save.

It seems like Roberts has regained his confidence from last season, as he was causing problems for the full back with his quick movements and skills. He delivered a fantastic free kick to Cirkin's head for the first goal of the game. He came close to scoring a couple of times by cutting inside and curling the ball just wide, but he also chose to go outside to search for a cross, which nearly resulted in a goal for Rigg.

He played a bit further back than normal because Browne was not there, but he was very composed when in possession. He often escaped pressure with a quick change of direction and contributed greatly on defense.

I easily maneuvered through the game on the left side, creating a great opportunity for the fourth goal with a run and cross. I didn't even have to push myself to my fullest potential. I controlled the ball effectively in the second half, leaving the opposing team unable to intercept.

Two goals scored by a striker from Sunderland, it has been a while since we could last say this. He scored his first goal excellently after quickly seizing a loose ball and shooting it past the goalkeeper, then showed great skill to score his second goal with a tap-in.

Created a few opportunities towards the end of the game and successfully controlled the ball near Wednesday's corners.

Put in a lot of effort when entering the game, and helped keep the momentum going.

Made an attempt that was easily saved by the goalkeeper.

Eliezer Mayenda Shines As Man Of The Match

Today, our team showed excellent teamwork with some standout individual performances. However, the standout player for me was Mayenda. We have been in need of a goal scorer and the 19-year-old delivered with two goals in one game!

Expertly placed the first goal into the net after seizing a loose ball following a tackle from O’Nien, and then displayed a true striker's skill for the second goal. In addition to scoring, he put in a lot of effort throughout the game, consistently pressuring and causing problems for the opposing team with his runs off the ball.
