Sugababes feud explained and where the former members are now | HELLO!
Why Did Heidi, Amelle, And Jade Break Up?
Heidi, Amelle, and Jade used to sing together as a trio, but they decided to break up in 2011. In an interview with Digital Spy, Jade confessed that the group's excitement had gradually faded away.
"There was a lot of turmoil within the group, and I feel like the music ended up taking a backseat," she remembered. "I'm not a fan of all the drama and negativity. We slowly started to fade away around two years ago."
Reunion Of Siobhan, Keisha, And Mutya
In 2013, Siobhan, Keisha, and Mutya made the choice to come back together, even though there were disputes over who had rights to the Sugababes name. Siobhan mentioned to The Guardian, "The ownership of the name isn't important anymore."
"Our music expresses who we are," Mutya remarked, adding, "People just refer to us as the Sugababes."
The three of them shared that they had resolved their differences and believed it was the perfect moment to reunite. However, they were unable to use the Sugababes name and had to release their music under the name MKS. It wasn't until 2022 that they successfully regained the rights to the Sugababes name after a lengthy legal struggle.
Where Are The Sugababes Today?
Siobhan, Keisha, and Mutya are in the process of organizing their tour across the UK and Europe, set to take place in 2025.
Heidi, who is 41 years old, is joyfully married to Alex Partakis. Together, they have two daughters, and she often shares glimpses of their family life on Instagram.
In the meantime, Amelle is happily raising her daughter, Amirah. As a solo artist now, she still takes the stage and performs.
Lastly, Jade, who is 36 years old, has been featured in several episodes of Luis Miguel: The Series (2021).
