IK Multimedia has just launched the iLoud MTM MKII monitors in a new white color option.

Modena, Italy (September 27, 2024)—After launching the iLoud MTM MKII studio monitors in May, IK Multimedia has now released them in white while keeping the same price.

Like the original model in black, the iLoud MTM MKII monitors come in three options: individual speakers, sets of two, and an immersive package with 11 speakers. They boast upgraded drivers, enhanced energy efficiency, additional onboard processing and DSP capabilities, as well as integrated ARC room correction, all while maintaining the same size as the original MTMs.

The MTM MKII monitors feature two 3.5-inch woofers and a single 1-inch tweeter with a back chamber. The drivers have been upgraded to offer users enhanced volume, improved low-end performance, better clarity, and more defined mid-range sounds. According to IK Multimedia, this means that users can achieve more well-rounded mixes while experiencing less fatigue in their ears. The frequency range for these monitors has been improved, now covering from 48 Hz to 28 kHz ± 2dB, compared to the previous model’s 50 Hz to 24 kHz ± 2 dB.

IK Multimedia Launches ARC System for Studio Audio Enhancement

The new speakers feature an impressive bass extension down to 36 Hz (-10 dB) and increased sound pressure levels. Additionally, the updated MTM MKII models offer a more focused vertical sound dispersion while expanding horizontal coverage. This design enhances the listening experience by offering a broader "sweet spot" and minimizing sound reflections from the ceiling and floor. To facilitate this, there’s an enhanced ARC auto-calibration system. By connecting the included ARC MEMS microphone (which comes at no extra cost with any iLoud MTM MKII pair or immersive bundle) to the mic input of each speaker, users can easily optimize their speaker setup for their specific room in just a matter of minutes.

In addition to being operated through the rear panel, the speakers can also be managed using the included X-Monitor software. This software allows users to replicate the sound and phase characteristics of over 20 different brands of studio monitors.

The different options for the iLoud MTM MKII speakers are priced at $399 for a single unit without the ARC Mems microphone. If you want a pair that comes with the microphone, it will cost you $799. For a complete immersive experience, you can get the 11-speaker bundle, which is priced at $3,999 and also includes the microphone.
