This weekend, BBC One will bring back Strictly Come Dancing after several months of controversy involving its professional dancers.
Amanda Abbington, known for her role in Sherlock, has revealed shocking allegations against her former dance partner Giovanni Pernice. She stated that there are “50 hours” of rehearsal recordings that reportedly left BBC producers feeling appalled by Pernice's alleged conduct.
Pernice has rejected all allegations, and on July 29, he received the outcome of the BBC's inquiry into these claims. The results have not been released to the public yet.
Graziano di Prima has found himself in the spotlight for some disputed actions during his practice sessions with Zara McDermott. As a result, both di Prima and Pernice have decided to exit the show.
This year, Strictly is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and the new participants are eager to showcase their dance skills and grab attention for all the right reasons.
