CNN was informed on Thursday by Stormy Daniels' lawyer and husband that she was quite overwhelmed after Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 charges in his criminal hush money trial in New York. They described her as being "very emotional" about the outcome.

Ms Daniels was a crucial figure in the case - the financial transactions Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen, made to keep her silent were significant pieces of evidence that helped to accuse the former leader.

Over the course of multiple days, Ms Daniels, an actor in adult films, gave evidence to a panel of people who determine the outcome of legal cases about her connection with Trump, the romantic involvement she asserted they shared and the effect it had on her as a person.

Clark Brewster, the lawyer representing Ms. Daniels, stated to Anderson Cooper on Thursday after the verdict that Ms. Daniels fulfilled her responsibility by appearing in court and being truthful.

He said, "As I was in the courtroom, it was evident that the jury was hardworking and knowledgeable. It's important to appreciate their effort and commend them for their performance."

Barrett Blade, the husband of Danielle, also shared with CNN that his spouse was still trying to come to terms with the verdict.

She didn't initiate this situation. She wasn't trying to get justice for herself. She stood up for herself at the beginning and spoke the truth, but this trial for paying for silence is insignificant. This story isn't about her, he stated.

He said: "Maybe people will eventually begin to perceive the reality, but whether they do or not, I don't think it will ever change."

There was no public statement made by Ms Daniels after the verdict, and Mr Brewster mentioned that he hadn't discussed Trump's sentencing with Ms Daniels.

Prosecutors summoned 20 witnesses, including an actor who performs in adult movies, to provide testimony based on evidence that indicated Trump instructed his previous lawyer, Michael Cohen, to provide Ms Daniels with $130,000 a few days before the 2016 election. This exchange was for Ms Daniels to remain silent about the purported affair. Prosecutors also indicated that Trump was anxious that this tale might damage his campaign.

Afterwards, he hid the payments made to keep things quiet by repaying Cohen. The funds were deceitfully noted as reimbursing expenses for a contract that was not actually in place.

During her testimony, Ms Daniels stated that despite the brief nature of her association with Trump, it had a long-lasting impact on her, which persists even today.

During the trial, she informed the jury that she accepted the payment to keep quiet because of her strong feelings of anxiety and stated that being associated with Trump resulted in significant financial losses for her.

Daniels’ strong statement under oath played a crucial role in the jury's decision to find Trump guilty on all charges. She only appeared in court when she was legally obligated to do so and did not take part in any other proceedings.
