Blackpool manager Steve Bruce to miss football match after death of baby grandson
Steve Bruce, the head coach of Blackpool, will be absent from the home game against Barnsley on Saturday due to the passing of his infant grandson, Madison.
The League One team announced the news regarding their manager, who has previously played for clubs such as Birmingham City, Hull City, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United.
According to a message on Blackpool FC's website, head coach Steve Bruce will not be present at the match against Barnsley tomorrow because of the heartbreaking loss of his four-month-old grandson, Madison.
The entire team at the football club sends warm wishes to Steve and his family.
"We kindly request that their privacy be honored as they navigate through this sudden and unexpected loss in their family."
Alex Bruce, the assistant manager at Salford City and son of Steve Bruce, will not be present for his team's game this Saturday.
Salford City announced that he will not be playing in the match against Crewe Alexandra due to the passing of his nephew, Madison.
"The entire football club expresses our heartfelt love and unwavering support for Alex, Matt Smith, and their family," the club stated.

Steve Bruce has just taken on the role of head coach at Bloomfield Road with a two-year contract.
The ex-Manchester United defender has achieved victory in four out of six League One matches since taking over from Neil Critchley last month.
