During his performance on Sunday, Stephen Mulhern made a playful jab at a surprised audience member from the Royal Variety Show.
The 47-year-old host was delivering a heartfelt tribute to his late father, Christopher, and his grandfather when he called out to the audience, directing his attention to one specific guest to assist with his performance.
While hosting the ITV show Deal Or No Deal, the presenter entertained the audience with a little magic trick. However, things got a bit out of hand when he invited a member from the audience to assist him with a unique challenge.
This year's event, led by Amanda Holden and Alan Carr, featured a variety of performances dedicated to King Charles III.
Before kicking off his magic performance, Stephen shared that he had a confetti launcher and was looking for a special someone to trigger it every time he pulled a hilarious stunt.
He explained, "I want you to see this. This is a detonator. I want to emphasize that when you push this button, everything changes completely."
During his performance on Sunday, Stephen Mulhern, 47, caught one audience member off guard with a cheeky remark.
The speaker was delivering a heartfelt homage to his father, Christopher (shown in the picture), and his grandfather when he called out to the audience, specifically asking one attendee to assist with a meaningful activity.
After Adam helped with the skit, Stephen dashed over to a member of the audience, exclaiming, "Cut it out!" He then playfully pulled the person from their seat and nudged them off the stage.
It launches fireworks, alters the lighting, and shifts the music.
"We need someone very reliable to take care of this!" Stephen exclaimed as he moved through the throng of people. After searching for a bit, he finally discovered the perfect person to manage the detonator.
The host of the game show pointed out a participant named Adam, asking for his assistance during the episode. He told Adam to hit the button whenever he found something amusing, but also advised him to 'exercise caution and act responsibly.'
Stephen started his performance by tearing apart sheets of paper, only to magically restore them back to their original state.
However, after showcasing the little trick, the celebrity disclosed that he was doing the seemingly straightforward illusion in honor of his grandfather.
He explained, "I have a purpose for performing this trick; I don't want to ruin the mood. My grandfather showed me how to do it when I was only 11."
In that instant, Adam made the choice to hit the buzzer, catching Stephen off guard, who immediately snapped at the guest.

At that instant, Adam hit the buzzer, surprising the host of the Variety show, who playfully yelled at the guest and ushered him off the stage.
Emphasizing the blunder, Stephen joked, "Cut it out! That was really not the right moment, my friend! What on earth were you thinking?"
The host dashed over to Adam, chuckling as he pulled him out of his chair, exclaiming, "Come on, let's go! Get up, get up!"
"I'm serious, leave now and don’t come back," she said as she shoved him behind a curtain at the rear of the auditorium.
After the amusing show concluded, Stephen expressed a sincere message honoring his father, finishing his act with the words: 'That was for you, Dad.'
A spokesperson for Stephen Mulhern stated that the disruption was intentional and meant to be light-hearted as part of his act.
It has been an incredibly challenging year for one of ITV's most beloved hosts, who has dealt with uncertain health concerns, problems with his property, and the heartbreaking loss of his father.
Last month, it was announced that the father of the Dancing On Ice host, Christopher, had recently died.
A representative for Stephen shared with MailOnline: "Stephen has been going through an extremely challenging period in recent weeks. The loss of his cherished father has taken a significant toll on him, causing considerable stress."
Stephen was born in East London in 1977 to Christopher and Maureen, who made their living as market vendors.
After the funny show wrapped up, Stephen gave a touching homage to his father, concluding his performance with the words, "That was for you, Dad."
This year has been incredibly challenging for one of ITV's most beloved hosts, who has dealt with uncertain health concerns, problems with his property, and the heartbreaking loss of his father (seen here with Holly Willoughby).
The star attributes his achievements to his parents, expressing, "I don't want to come across as sentimental, but they put in a tremendous amount of effort to raise me and my two brothers and sister."
Growing up with his three brothers and sisters, he developed his social skills by helping out at his father's market stand before embarking on his journey as a magician.
Earlier this year, Stephen has been dealing with various health issues, and just last month, an ambulance was summoned when the staff at a Pizza Express grew worried about him around 8 PM.
As a safety measure, he was transported from Sunningdale, Berkshire, to Frimley Park Hospital located in Camberley, Surrey, after paramedics evaluated his condition.
Once the paramedics assisted Stephen, he reached out to his mom, Maureen, to let her know he was fine and back home recovering. He's quite embarrassed about having such a noticeable response to the anesthetic.
A source informed MailOnline: "He underwent a procedure yesterday (Wednesday, 27). After receiving the anesthesia, he had a couple of drinks, which led to him feeling unwell."
