How to get free Starbucks as chain gives away coffee to millions of workers

Starbucks free drinks NHS

Starbucks is providing complimentary beverages to employees nationwide, but you must request your drink today.

To show appreciation for their dedication throughout the year, NHS employees can enjoy a complimentary tall drink at many locations across the UK. This offer is part of a collaboration between the coffee shop and NHS Charities Together, and it's now in its fifth year.

For the first time ever, Starbucks is spreading holiday cheer by delivering festive goodies to 10 ambulance stations. Additionally, NHS staff who stop by designated We Proudly Serve Starbucks® locations in hospitals can enjoy a complimentary milk chocolate gold coin with the purchase of any hot beverage, as long as supplies last.

During the pandemic, Starbucks started contributing both funds and supplies to a charity that aids NHS staff and enhances care by financing services and equipment that aren’t funded by the government.

Since that time, Starbucks has contributed more than 500,000 food and beverage items to NHS personnel and has provided over £3.9 million to the fund, as stated on its website.

In addition to conducting campaigns across the country, Starbucks allows its individual locations to team up with local NHS charities, enabling them to make a positive impact in their respective communities.

Claim Your Free Starbucks: A Simple Guide

On Thursday, December 5, NHS employees can get a complimentary drink by presenting a valid NHS staff ID at the checkout. Please note that Blue Light discount cards cannot be used for this offer; however, Blue Light Card holders do enjoy a 10% discount at Starbucks throughout the entire year.

The giveaway includes any large drink (basically a medium size), featuring popular seasonal options that can be quite expensive, like the Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate or Toffee Nut Latte.

Not every store will be participating in the promotion, so it could be a good idea to call in advance to confirm.

Ellie Orton, CEO of NHS Charities Together, stated: “The winter months are always a challenging time for the NHS. A recent survey revealed that 72% of people consider working in the NHS to be the toughest job during the holiday season. Therefore, this initiative is incredibly timely.”

"We hope that the Starbucks Free Coffee Giveaway serves as a reminder to NHS staff throughout the UK that their hard work is valued. It's a chance for them to take a much-deserved break from their crucial responsibilities and enjoy the holiday season."
