Squid Game includes a secret scene that hints at what's to come in the upcoming season three of the series.
The second season of Netflix’s most popular series ever dropped on Boxing Day (26 December), three years after it initially captivated audiences worldwide.
While most viewers have praised the sequel and its fresh cast of characters, opinions were mixed regarding the thrilling finale. The episode concluded with a cliffhanger that sets the stage for the third and last season, scheduled to premiere in 2025.
However, there was one specific moment that the creator of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk, referred to as a "suggestion" of the consequences that will unfold when the series makes its return.

In the last episode of the series, Gi-hun, also known as Player 456 (played by Lee Jung-jae), who emerged victorious in the first season, spearheads a rebellion against the mysterious figures behind the games. He does this by seizing the weapons from the assassins dressed in pink who enforce the lethal challenges.
Little does Gi-hun know that during his second time in the games, he has formed an alliance with the mysterious antagonist In-ho, also known as The Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun), who himself emerged victorious in the games many years ago.
In the conclusion, In-ho, whom Gi-hun recognizes as Young-il or Player 001, pretends to die before re-emerging in his role behind the scenes.
When Gi-hun and his friend Jung-bae (played by Lee Seo-hwan) give up after exhausting their ammunition, In-ho, putting his black mask back on, proceeds to take Jung-bae's life.
Once the episode wraps up, Dong-hyuk shares an exciting sneak peek of what's coming in season three. There's a mid-credits scene featuring a large new doll, reminiscent of the one from the show's memorable Red Light, Green Light segment, where players are shot if they move while the doll is looking at them.

"That's a little preview of Cheol-su, another giant doll similar to Young-hee, that we'll be introducing in the third season," Dong-hyuk shared with Entertainment Weekly.
"This also gives a clue about the most thrilling game in the third season. Although details haven't been revealed yet, I'm sure everyone will be eager to get to know Cheol-su and the upcoming game."
