That time of year is approaching: Spotify is preparing to unveil its yearly Wrapped, which offers customized summaries of users' listening patterns and their audio experiences throughout the year.

Since 2016, Spotify has been sharing detailed insights about its users' listening habits. Each year, it has grown into a larger event and gained significant attention online. According to Spotify, their 2023 Wrapped was the most extensive it has ever been, both in terms of the audience it reached and the variety of data it offered.

Wrapped is the yearly recap from the streaming service that highlights personal listening habits and global trends. It allows users to discover their favorite artists, songs, genres, albums, and podcasts, all presented in an engaging and interactive format.

The campaign has taken social media by storm, with individuals posting and discussing their Wrapped statistics with friends and followers across various platforms.

Previous versions have offered users various insights and statistics, such as whether they rank among an artist's biggest fans. Additionally, they could enjoy a custom playlist featuring their top 100 songs from the year, which they could save, share, and listen to whenever they wanted to relive old memories.

Spotify compiles various playlists that showcase listening patterns both nationally and globally, highlighting the most popular artists and songs. In 2023, Taylor Swift topped the list as Spotify's most-streamed artist, dethroning Bad Bunny, who had held that title for the previous three years.

Every year brings fresh surprises. In 2019, Wrapped offered a look back at users' streaming habits over the entire decade. Last year, Spotify went a step further by placing listeners in a unique Sound Town that reflected their favorite artists and how those preferences compared to listeners in different global regions.

"Spotify Wrapped Release Date: When Is It?"

Up until now, the streaming service has kept the eagerly awaited release date of Wrapped a secret.

In previous years, it has usually been launched after Thanksgiving, typically between November 30 and December 6.

Every year, speculation often spreads on social media about when Spotify finishes gathering data to create the Wrapped summary, and this year was no different. Spotify swiftly addressed these assumptions, clarifying on their social media that “Spotify Wrapped continues to track data beyond October 31st.”

A spokesperson for Spotify did not reply when asked about when the company ceases to collect data for Wrapped.

How To Access My Spotify Wrapped?

Once Wrapped is launched, users will get a notification on their Spotify accounts inviting them to check out their personalized data summary. This can be accessed via the Spotify mobile app or by visiting the Spotify website. Wrapped is open to all users, regardless of whether they have a Premium subscription.
