South Korean actor Song Jae-rim found dead at 39
South Korean actor Song Jae-rim has passed away at the age of 39.
The actor, famous for his performances in South Korean television dramas like The Moon Embracing the Sun and Two Weeks, was discovered deceased in his apartment in Seoul.
Authorities have stated that there are no indications of any wrongdoing, and they have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
It has been announced that his family has been notified and has arranged for a funeral to be held later this week.
Jae-rim started out as a runway model, showcasing designs from brands like Juun J, Herin Homme, and Ha Sang Beg. He also appeared in various magazines like Esquire Korea, GQ Korea, and Bazaar Korea.
He made his first appearance on the big screen in the South Korean movie Actresses in 2009.
He subsequently secured a series of prominent roles, including appearances in The Moon Embracing the Sun, Queen Woo, and Unkind Ladies.
Jae-rim has also been featured in several K-pop music videos for artists such as 2NE1 and KARA.
Fans have taken to social media to pay their respects, with one person posting on X: “He always had such a big smile and appeared to be a carefree celebrity.”
