In Stroud, sleet could start at 7pm that Tuesday with snow from 9pm to 3am on Wednesday, March 7, and then from 6am to 10am with sleet until noon.

Cheltenham and Gloucester areas seem free of snow, according to BBC Weather. In its UK monthly outlook for the period from Monday, March 6 to Sunday, March 12, it says there is an increased chance of wintry showers.

The sudden stratospheric warming over the North Pole is due to impact weather in the UK, bringing easterly winds. It's exact impact is not yet clear but the Met Office and BBC Weather are forecasting a cold, wintry March.
