UK weather: Warnings across country for snow and floods

Warning about the weather are still active as snow and rain keep happening all over the United Kingdom.
The Scottish region is being cautioned with yellow alerts due to the likelihood of snow and ice on Friday and Saturday. There is also a possibility of power outages and disturbances in travel.
In southern, central, and north-east England, there are over 60 flood warnings that have been issued.
Dan Stroud from the Met Office stated that while the weather conditions have improved, there are still some uncertainties that remain.
Following a frigid wave that caused temperatures to drop considerably below zero in certain regions of the nation, a significant number of learning institutions in the north of England and Wales had to shut down on Thursday.
Kirkwall in Scotland experienced approximately 10cm of snow, which measures 3.9 inches. Meanwhile, Bingley in West Yorkshire also had 9cm of snow.
According to Elizabeth Rizzini, who reports for BBC Weather, Friday is expected to be less chilly than previous days in most of the north, however, people in eastern Scotland, north east England, and the eastern regions of Northern Ireland may still experience uncomfortable and blustery weather.
She mentioned that there is a possibility of snow in the upper regions of Scotland, but it is expected to come as a mix of rain and sleet in the lower areas.
She said that the UK will experience a gradual spread of warmer air throughout the weekend. There may be some cold weather on Saturday, but only in the northernmost parts of Scotland and Shetland.
The current advisories that continue to persist are the ones that appear in yellow.
On Friday morning, the Met Office predicted that regions in the southern portion of Scotland may experience disruptions to traveling.
The report stated that in the regions located towards the center and north, there is an increased possibility of hindrances to travel schedules, power supply interruptions, and impairment to services such as mobile phone connectivity.
The Environment Agency has given out flood alerts in areas with high risk of flooding in England, specifically in Birmingham, Derby, Milton Keynes, and eastern Yorkshire.
Cautions are present on the southern shoreline as well, encompassing places such as Southampton, Bournemouth, Weymouth, and Plymouth.
There are over 200 flood warnings that are not as severe in the Midlands and southern parts of England.
