The men's skateboarding street competition at the Paris Olympics has been delayed for two days due to the ongoing impact of the weather.

There was a lot of rain during the opening ceremony, which lasted three and a half hours and took place on the River Seine. The ceremony featured 85 boats carrying nearly 7,000 athletes from 205 countries.

The heavy rainfall almost ruined the event, leading to flood alerts being issued by the French weather agency for various locations near the city.

On Saturday, the first major sporting events began, even though Rugby Sevens, handball, and football had already started before the main opening ceremony.

But for those who were looking forward to watching the skateboarding street Men's preliminary and final rounds on Saturday, July 27, the event has been rescheduled to Monday, July 29.

The event will kick off at the scheduled time, with the preliminary competition starting at 11am BST, and the final round taking place at 4pm BST.

The dressage competition at Versailles, just north of Paris, has continued as planned despite the rain. The indoor events scheduled for Saturday, including gymnastics, diving, and swimming, will also proceed as scheduled and will not be affected by the bad weather.

The tennis matches at Roland Garros are scheduled to begin at 11am. It is possible for the games to go on even in light rain, but it is uncertain if they will need to be delayed. The two main courts are protected from the rain, which might be enough for the matches to proceed without any interruptions, similar to how it is done at the Olympics.

Tom Daley and Helen Glover were selected as the flag bearers for Team Great Britain on Friday night. They, along with 37 other British athletes, took a boat trip along the Seine River for 10km to see some of the most famous sites in the city.
