The co-CEO of Bordier in Singapore has started her position as a fifth-generation member of the family-run private bank, getting ready to head back to Switzerland.

Valerie d’Argembeau (shown in the image below) has been appointed as co-CEO of Bordier & Cie Singapore, as stated in a LinkedIn update. This change was initially reported by finews.asia in July.

D’Argembeau brings more than 20 years of experience to the table, having recently served as the managing director and leader of private clients in Singapore and Asia at Lombard Odier. Before that, she held positions at Société Générale and Barclays.

The article states that d’Argembeau will be collaborating with Evrard Bordier for a while as he transitions back to Geneva. Bordier is part of the fifth generation of his family involved in Bordier & Cie, a firm that has been around since 1844.

“With a rich history spanning 180 years in Swiss private banking, Bordier & Cie represents trust, dedication, and accountability,” d’Argembeau stated in his post. “Our mission is to align futures. I am thrilled to head our Singapore office as we carry on this legacy, making sure our clients’ goals and financial requirements are addressed with the individualized care that has characterized Bordier & Cie for generations.”
