In the first episode of the season, people watched the music mogul, who is 64 years old, wearing some glasses with red lenses. They were with the other judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli.

Nonetheless, Cowell explained that his fresh spectacles are not merely fashionable accessories, but instead an approach to minimize the negative effect of the program's strong and piercing lights on his well-being.

"I wear red glasses since I'm always exposed to bright lights which feel like lasers and lead to frequent migraines. These glasses act as a filter and effectively reduce the intensity of light. I can vouch for their effectiveness," he shared with The Standard.

It is estimated that about 10 million people, which is one in seven adults in the UK, suffer from migraines. On a daily basis, approximately 190,000 people experience migraine attacks.

In addition to experiencing severe headaches, many individuals also endure other symptoms including nausea, vomiting, and heightened sensitivity to bright lights or loud noises.

Apart from drugs, research suggests that people who experience photophobia, which is the sensitivity to light, could discover comfort by using migraine glasses. These are similar to the ones Cowell wore.

According to a study released in the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, the inclusion of a slender film optical notch filter in lenses could potentially aid in mitigating the effects of long-term migraines.

Cowell's eyewear has not only grabbed attention, but his choice to wear a range of thermal long-sleeved tops during the most recent season has also been a topic of conversation.

The previous X Factor adjudicator stated that he decided to exchange his usual grey and black T-shirts for thermal base layers so that he can tackle the cold atmosphere in the auditoriums.

He explained that the clothing he wore was similar to underwear, similar to what one may wear while skiing, which is called thermal wear. As he found it too cold in the theater, he had the idea to wear thermal clothes this year.

I didn't have a plan to wear it. I arrived at the place and it was extremely chilly. Someone recommended the particular clothing item and I contemplated for a while before deciding to put it on.

When questioned about potentially starting a new fashion trend, he made a joke by saying, "I doubt anyone has ever imitated my style, but anything is possible."

The TV show called Britain's Got Talent will air on Sunday, April 21 at 7:30pm on both ITV1 and ITVX channels.
