Shannon Sharpe has stated that his Instagram account was compromised after an explicit act was broadcast live on it on Wednesday.

In the video that has recently appeared on X, the faces of the individuals are not visible, but a man and a woman can be heard sounding like they are getting close to each other.

Throughout the video, you can hear the woman making moaning noises, and at certain moments, she seems to mention the name Shannon.

Despite that, the camera was mainly aimed at the ground throughout most of the video, and the former NFL player claimed that his account had been compromised.

"Watch out! My Instagram account @shannonsharpe84 was hacked earlier today. My team and I are actively trying to resolve the issue," Sharpe shared on his Instagram story before removing the post.

Shannon Sharpe stated that his Instagram account was compromised after a video showing what seemed to be a sexual act was broadcast live on the platform.

The video did not show anyone's face, and it mainly focused on the ground during most of the time.

A recorded clip of the Instagram Live event reveals that at one moment, over 6,500 viewers were watching the video at the same time.

Sharpe, who is 56 years old, has never tied the knot and shared his reasons for that during an episode of his Club Shay Shay podcast last year.

"I wish I could have tied the knot earlier in my career, but my job took priority," he shared with Chad Johnson. "I wasn't great at being a parent, likely not the best brother or son either, and I definitely didn't excel as a boyfriend. Football was my main focus."

I was deeply motivated by the desire to improve my grandmother's and family's situation, wanting to lift them out of their difficult circumstances.

Many women told me they were fine with being second to football in my life. However, when they witnessed my true passion and commitment to the sport, it became clear that they couldn't handle it.

Before joining ESPN, he collaborated with Skip Bayless from 2016 to 2023.

Sharpe expressed that he is looking for someone to enjoy his achievements and prosperity with.

The former tight end had an incredible career in the NFL, earning a place in the Hall of Fame and amassing over $22 million along the way, according to Spotrac.

He played his final season in 2003.

Since that time, he has established a notable career in broadcasting, most recently dedicating seven years to Fox Sports' Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless. He left that role to join ESPN, where he is now a part of Stephen A. Smith's First Take, starting in June.
