'I'm Shania Twain's manager - one week I'm on The Kardashians, the next I'm on the 32 bus to Fintry'

James Adams, hailing from Dundee, has shared the wild experiences from his time working alongside the famous singer.

A man from Dundee shared the exciting details of his job as Shania Twain's personal manager.

James Adams, a 35-year-old from Fintry, is a dedicated fan of the famous singer, supporting them at performances and on television appearances.

James, who primarily resides in London or the USA, is getting ready to accompany the renowned Canadian country singer when she takes the stage at Stirling Summer Sessions next week.

Prior to that, she will perform for a large crowd at Glastonbury.

East London Living Turns Into Music Management Job

James, who attended St Saviour's High School in the past, has been employed by Shania's management company, Maverick, since 2015. Maverick also represents famous artists such as Paul McCartney and Andrea Bocelli.

He has even made a brief appearance in the background of an episode of The Kardashians, with Shania.

James explains that he relocated to London 12 years ago in search of job opportunities within the music sector.

He shared with The Courier: "I recall boarding the train with my parents, who were wishing me luck on the platform."

I used to reside in a bleak environment in the eastern part of London with little to no funds.

I was going to all the big companies and asking if they had any job opportunities available.

The highlight was that I was spending time with individuals who were all striving to succeed, and building connections was crucial.

I landed a position as a front desk employee at a company that manages music artists.

As a result, I connected with numerous individuals in the field and successfully advanced my career.

I collaborated with several smaller performers such as Rat Boy before my manager signed Shania.

"He suggested that I take on the role of her daily manager, and the rest is now part of the past."

I began working with her before her return tour in 2018. It was a challenging experience and very stressful.

The ex-student of Dundee Schools Music Theatre now divides his time between London and the United States, but he still makes sure to visit his family in Dundee.

He said: "I am involved in many different areas of the organization."

During the performance day, you collaborate with a team of people, whether it be in wardrobe, lighting, or staging.

"You must inform Shania of any updates to the performance or communicate her instructions."

I also collaborate with public relations teams to schedule interview appointments for Shania, whether it's for television, radio, or print media. I am involved in every aspect of the process.

I don't have any days off, but I enjoy what I do. I have been working with Shania for seven years and we have a strong and positive relationship.

Life can be unpredictable. One minute I'm on TV with the Kardashians, and the next I'm taking the bus to Fintry.

Shania will be performing at the Stirling Summer Sessions concert after her shows at the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow in September.

James mentioned that it was wonderful to have her back so soon.

Many people are enthusiastic about it.

Any performance in Scotland is thrilling. It may sound like a common saying when people mention how enthusiastic Scottish fans are, but it's accurate.

People are worried about the weather at Glastonbury, but in Stirling, it's like, "whatever happens, happens".

Shania is really excited about it. My friends and family will also be attending. It's going to be a fantastic evening.

The Stirling Summer Sessions kicks off this Thursday with a show by James Arthur, then Busted will take the stage on Friday. On Sunday, Tom Jones will be headlining, and Shania will round out the performances on Tuesday.
