Scott shares, “Zoe and I have been close friends for more than 25 years, and we've spent a lot of that time working together in the same radio family at Radio 2, as well as Radio 1. She has done an amazing job hosting this show for the last six years, and I’m incredibly thrilled to take over.”
"It seems like ever since I started recording my first shows as a child for my mom, every step I've taken has brought me to this incredible opportunity. It's truly a dream come true to follow in the footsteps of legends like Sir Terry, Chris, and Zoe as the new host of the Radio 2 Breakfast Show."
Zoe shares, “Scott and I have known each other since our time at Radio 1, when he was doing the early morning shifts before I joined. He has been a dear friend for a long time, and I couldn’t be more excited that he’s the one stepping in to host the Breakfast Show.”
Breakfast has always been his ultimate goal, and what an incredible year it's been for him! From traveling the globe to celebrating his lovely wedding with Sam, he’s accomplished so much. He’s not just an outstanding producer; he’s one of the top names in radio. I’m looking forward to catching his show during the morning commute!
Trevor expresses his excitement about being on daytime radio, calling it an incredible opportunity. He views it as a true honor to be able to engage and entertain listeners across the UK on such a prominent station each day.
"I'm excited to have a great time and add a unique vibe to the new show. For our loyal listeners, I'm bringing back my 'guess the artist' game, Five Seconds to Name, so I hope that newcomers will have fun joining in too!"
Spoony shares his excitement: “It's a wonderful opportunity to spend eight hours each week on Radio 2, where I get to introduce listeners to some of the finest dance and soulful tracks from the past six decades on the UK's most popular radio station. This is truly a remarkable moment!”
Sophie expresses her excitement about introducing her Kitchen Disco to Radio 2 on Friday nights. She can't wait to celebrate the end of the week and kick off the weekend with everyone in a lively disco atmosphere.
Helen Thomas, the Head of Radio 2, expresses her excitement: "We are thrilled to have Scott join the Radio 2 Breakfast Show. He’s an accomplished broadcaster with numerous awards under his belt and has been in the radio industry since he was just 16 years old.
