School closures in Cavan and Monaghan today

This morning, Northern Sound received updates about schools that will be closed. In Monaghan, a number of schools will not be open today. These are: Ballybay Central School, Coláiste Oriel, Carrickroe Community Childcare, Clara NS, Corracrin NS, Emyvale, Deravoy NS, Latnamard NS Smithborough, Monaghan Collegiate, Monaghan Institute, Our Lady’s Secondary School Castleblaney, St Mary's NS, Threemilehouse, St. McCartan's College Monaghan, and Truagh Beginnings Childcare.

We have received news of closures in Cavan, which include Aughadreena NS, Breffini College, Darley NS in Cootehill, Killyconnan NS in Lower Lavey, Loreto College, St. Aiden's Comprehensive, St. Brigid's NS in Cill, St. Claire's College in Ballyjamesduff, St. Felim’s NS in Cavan Town, and St. Mary's Ballyhaise.
