Sarah Cunningham: Body found in search for missing artist

The remains believed to belong to Sarah Cunningham have been discovered following her disappearance in north London during the early hours of Saturday.

Ms. Cunningham, 31, was last spotted around 3:00 AM GMT on Jamestown Road in Camden. She was dressed in a black tank top, a skirt, and Converse sneakers.

In a message on X, Camden Police reported that emergency services were summoned to Chalk Farm Underground station in the early hours of Monday, where they discovered "an individual injured on the tracks."

The death is currently considered unexpected, but there are no indications of foul play. The update also mentioned that Ms. Cunningham's family has been notified and has asked for privacy during this time.

The police stated that official identification has not been completed yet.

Met Police officers are collaborating with the British Transport Police to investigate the situation.

Jamie Klingler, one of the founders of the women’s safety organization Reclaim These Streets, took to X following the announcement to express her gratitude, stating: "I appreciate everyone who helped raise awareness. Please be mindful of her family’s need for privacy during this time."

The Lisson Gallery in London, which has showcased Ms. Cunningham's work, shared a message on Instagram urging anyone with any details to reach out to the Metropolitan Police. Meanwhile, her brother Anthony also took to social media to ask for any information that could help.

Ms. Cunningham hails from Nottingham and studied at Loughborough University. Her artwork has been displayed in exhibitions across Germany, Canada, and the United States.
