Strictly's Sam Quek cheered on by two adorable children in sweet post
Sam Quek from Strictly Come Dancing received an overwhelming show of support from her adorable fans during the first live episode of the beloved BBC talent competition. Her husband, Tom Mairs, shared a charming photo of their children—three-year-old Molly and two-year-old Zac—sporting T-shirts printed with Sam's face and the phrase "Team Mummy." The little ones were also holding a shiny silver disco ball, and Tom sweetly tagged the photo with "Team Mummy." Sam, an Olympic gold medalist, danced with Nikita Kuzmin, who was a finalist in last year's competition with Layton Williams. Expressing her feelings before taking the stage, Sam admitted, “I'm really anxious. I've never felt nerves like this before. It’s the uncertainty of it all. I don’t even recognize myself in the mirror!” Together, they performed the Foxtrot for their debut dance, impressing fans with their captivating performance.
One viewer expressed their enthusiasm, saying, "I'm really enjoying Sam Quek," while another praised her performance by stating, "That was a very impressive beginning from Sam Quek." A third fan even shared their predictions for the finals, declaring, "I'm totally in love with Sam Quek, and I also adore Nikita Kuzmin. Their partnership is definitely going to make it to the finals." After her performance, Sam spoke to presenter Claudia Winkleman, expressing her gratitude to her children and husband for their encouragement and also thanked Nikita for being such a fantastic partner. "Much love to Molly and Zac. This guy here helps me find my calm and relax. I am truly thankful to have someone who brings me back to that peaceful place."

Sam, who has long been a familiar face on television, serving as a presenter on BBC's Morning Live and as a team captain on A Question of Sport, is candid about the challenges of balancing her career with being a mother at the age of 35.
In a previous interview with OK!, she shared, “Life is incredibly hectic, and each day brings something new, which I appreciate. However, I used to struggle with feelings of guilt about going to work. I would constantly think about whether there was enough food in the fridge, if the laundry was done, and if the clothes were clean. I’ve made progress in managing those feelings and setting boundaries. Also, I genuinely enjoy my job and embrace the busy lifestyle—it’s possible to hire nannies, but I prefer to take an active role in my parenting.”
