Sam Fender Axes All 2024 Concerts

Sam Fender has called off his upcoming performances for the rest of 2024.

Sam Fender has called off his upcoming performances for 2024 due to an injury to his vocal cord.

The singer-songwriter was scheduled to perform in Glasgow later and then in Newcastle on Friday, marking the last leg of this year's UK tour.

In a social media update, the musician from North Shields shared that he had recently been battling the flu, and medical tests showed that he had experienced bleeding in his right vocal cord.

Fender expressed that he was "completely devastated," but two different doctors advised him that going ahead with the performance could lead to permanent injury.

The singer mentioned that he was recommended to take a break from using his voice and to avoid speaking for an extended period until he recovers.

Fender is set to start the US portion of his tour in February, followed by shows in Europe during the spring.

In June, Fender is set to come back to London and Newcastle for his stadium tour in the UK, having already sold out three consecutive nights at St James' Park.

Sam Fender has completely filled St James' Park for three consecutive nights this June.

The 30-year-old has experienced issues with his vocal cords in the past, leading him to call off his 2019 tour due to laryngitis. He was worried that he might suffer a hemorrhage in one of them.

"I've followed all the rules this tour, living a really disciplined life, so it feels incredibly unfortunate," he shared on Instagram.

"This tour has been amazing, and all I want is to jump up and perform for you again tonight."

I sincerely apologize to everyone who is on their way tonight.

Fender mentioned that he and his team were working on rearranging the schedule.
