Sabrina Carpenter Is a Skims Girlie Now — And the Reactions Are Wild
Sabrina Carpenter has just made her debut in a Skims campaign, joining the ranks of other famous spokespersons like Lana del Rey, Alex Cooper, and Usher. In the campaign, she wears bright and colourful lace lingerie, embracing a very feminine style. Her boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, seems to be quite taken with the images, and the reactions have been far from calm.
Check out the photos in this blog post of the singer known for "Nonsense" posing in a bedroom adorned with floral decor and a vintage vibe that harks back to the late '90s and early '00s. Despite being born in 1999, Carpenter looks completely at home in this setting, clutching a cordless phone in one shot and jamming to tunes on a personal CD player in another. While the posters on the walls are straight out of the '80s hair metal era, she couldn't care less, perfectly content in her underwear with perfectly coiffed hair. When Victoria's Secret decided to ditch their "bombshell" image, Skims saw an opportunity and seized it!
Unlike the majority of Skims merchandise, that are designed for wearing underneath and typically arrive in shades of skin or neutral tones, Carpenter is presenting the playful and soft-hued items, which better match the style she has established while performing on stage.
The most popular comment comes from Carpenter's boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, a famous Saltburn actor, who wrote an emoticon of a burning Barbie doll. Most responses are variations of "are you capable of fighting?", which indicates admiration for Carpenter's significant other. Julia Michaels, another musician, commented and asked, "Am I supposed to feel something?" while Kehlani noted, "You are enjoying your meal." This is true.
Sabrina Carpenter recently wrapped up her Eras Tour, where she served as Taylor Swift's opening act throughout Asia and Australia. As the tour resumes in May, Swift will be joined by Paramore and Gracie Abrams later in the year, leaving Carpenter with time to pursue other ventures. Perhaps she'll focus on creating a successor to her Emails I Can't Send album, released in 2022.
