Olivia Dunne appears to have suggested the possible cause of Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan's rumored breakup.
The LSU gymnast recently ignited a buzz on social media after sharing what fans think might be a hint regarding the rumored breakup between the 25-year-old “Taste” singer and the 32-year-old Saltburn actor. This week, an anonymous post surfaced on X/Twitter detailing a relationship involving “a top-tier singer experiencing a major breakthrough” and “her overseas partner.” Fans quickly connected the dots, believing this referred to Carpenter and Keoghan.
The message alleged that Keoghan had an affair with a “blonde, somewhat well-known influencer from LA” while he was with the “Nonsense” singer.
In Dunne's newest TikTok video, she seemed to indirectly target fellow influencer Breckie Hill, suggesting that Hill might be linked to the supposed cheating that caused the end of their relationship. The clip, which has since gone viral and was shared on Tuesday (December 3), features Dunne looking straight at the camera with text on the screen that says: “When her true colors are finally exposed in the media.”
She accompanied the video with the caption: "I simply relax and find it funny."
The video, which has racked up over five million views, quickly sparked a lot of chatter among fans in the comments. Many took it as a direct reply to claims about Hill's role in the breakup between Carpenter and Keoghan. When a fan asked if she was throwing shade at the pop star, Dunne responded in the comments: "I really like Sabrina... it's about the person who ruined her relationship."
In the meantime, Hill appeared to address the rumors about the love triangle when she shared two TikToks suggesting she was the unknown influencer that Keoghan had been messaging. People online took this as proof and began to criticize her in the comments of her latest TikTok video.
Most of the comments featured clever twists on the lyrics from Carpenter’s popular song “Espresso.” For instance, one user quipped, “This isn’t Espresso; it’s Nesquick.”
"You're definitely not my espresso >:(" commented another user on TikTok.
Rumors about Carpenter and Keoghan's breakup surfaced on Tuesday when People magazine announced that the couple has separated. According to a trusted insider, the decision was influenced by their busy schedules and career ambitions. The source mentioned, "They are both young and focused on their careers, so they've opted to take a pause."
Just a day before the news came out, the celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi shared an anonymous tip indicating that cheating might be the cause of the breakup. The post, titled “The charming guy with the strong accent validated their suspicions,” detailed how an “A-list singer” ended her relationship with her “foreign actor boyfriend” upon learning that he had been sending suggestive messages to an influencer.
An unconfirmed source has reported that the couple had already separated back in November, well before the public announcement. The actors have yet to respond to this anonymous claim.
The duo caught everyone's attention in December 2023 when they were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner in Los Angeles, but their romance is said to have begun a few months prior. They first crossed paths during Paris Fashion Week that September at a glamorous Givenchy show.
The Oscar-nominated actor was spotted supporting Carpenter during her performance at Coachella last April. Additionally, Keoghan played the role of the singer’s love interest in her music video for "Please Please Please," which was released in June.
The Independent has reached out to the representatives of Carpenter and Keoghan for a response.
