At the ripe age of 92, Rupert Murdoch has decided to take the plunge once again and is now engaged.
The big name in the media industry is set to tie the knot with Elena Zhukova, a 67-year-old woman, in the month of June. The team of the media tycoon has verified that the invitations for the wedding have already been dispatched.
It is thought that Mr Murdoch has been in a romantic relationship with a retired molecular biologist from Russia for a few months now.
Rupert Murdoch has announced his intention to marry for the sixth time.
The media mogul, who was born in Australia and resigned as the chairman of Fox and News Corp in the previous year, has experienced four marriages.
According to a spokesperson who spoke to the New York Times, he encountered Ms. Zhukova last summer after being introduced by his third wife, Wendy Deng. He promptly expressed his desire to get married to her.
The announcement made in April 2023 about his engagement to ex-police chaplain, Ann Lesley Smith, was called off only two weeks later.
In 1956, Mr Murdoch tied the knot with his first wife, Patricia Booker, who worked as a flight attendant in the past. They welcomed a daughter named Prudence during their time together.
Following their separation 11 years later, he entered into a second union with Anna Torv, a journalism apprentice he crossed paths with while she was assisting on one of his Australian publications. This subsequent partnership lasted beyond three decades.
At different points in time, it seemed like any of his three grown-up offspring - Elisabeth, Lachlan, or James - could have been the chosen inheritor of his position or responsibility.
Mr. Murdoch got married to Wendi Deng, his third wife, in 1999, just three weeks after his divorce from Anna. He had two more daughters named Grace and Chloe with her.
Back in 2016, Mr. Murdoch caused a shock by tying the knot with Jerry Hall, a former model who was once together with Sir Mick Jagger, the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, with whom she had four offspring. The couple remained hitched for six years before ultimately getting divorced.
Beginning in the 1950s, Mr Murdoch founded a vast media network that spanned multiple countries. Among his acquisitions were the News Of The World and The Sun in 1969, the New York Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the television network Fox News, which debuted in 1996.
