Media mogul Rupert Murdoch is planning a fifth walk down the aisle this June

Rupert Murdoch, the famous media tycoon who recently resigned as chairman of Fox News and News Corp, is getting married once again. The sound of wedding bells can be heard ringing in the air for him.

According to the Washington Post, a close source has confirmed that Murdoch, who is 92 years old, will be getting married to his girlfriend, a former scientist named Elena Zhukova, who is 67. The wedding ceremony is set to take place on June 1 at Murdoch's Moraga estate in California.

CBS MoneyWatch reached out to representatives for Murdoch for comment, but they did not respond right away.

According to a recent article in the New York Times, Zhukova, who was born in Russia, received her education at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her expertise as a molecular biologist revolved around studying diabetes. Additionally, it was reported that Zhukova's daughter, Dasha Zhukova, was once married to Russian oligarch and close ally of Putin, Roman Abramovich. The article also mentions that Abramovich was one of the first individuals to be targeted with western sanctions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

When the couple walks down the aisle, it will be Murdoch's fifth time getting married.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Murdoch has a net worth of $8.3 billion and has previously been married on four different occasions. Although he was engaged to retired dental hygienist Ann Lesley Smith, they never tied the knot. Prior to that, he was married to model Jerry Hall, but their marriage ended in divorce during the summer of 2022.

The initial trio of spouses for this individual consists of Patricia Booker, Anna Murdoch Mann, and Wendi Murdoch. Prior to their current marriage, Zhukova exchanged vows with wealthy energy investor Alexander Zhukov.
