I'm really enjoying it here; the warm family atmosphere is still present. I had almost forgotten how much fun it is to portray Ross, given his mischievous nature! Being from the north, it's wonderful to return to Leeds. Apart from my time on Emmerdale, I haven't lived up north since I was 15.

I truly believed that 2018 was the last we would see of him, but thankfully, they decided not to end his story! When they approached me, I already had another role in the works and had to make a tough decision, but Emmerdale will always be where my heart is. To prepare, I watched old footage to refresh my memory of Ross and his quirky traits – he’s pretty bold and loves to add a bit of flair to everything. He can be quite rude, too; I definitely couldn't behave that way!

He's constantly in conflict with someone, which means trouble is always brewing, and there’s plenty of flirting too, as he enjoys the company of women just as much as he enjoys a good brawl! When he returns, he does so with great energy, making sure everyone in the village is aware of his arrival.

Ross seems to have a natural tendency to find himself in conflict with everyone! Of course, there's his long-time rival Cain, but he's also got issues with Kim Tate, even though they haven't interacted much before. The Tate family played a role in the acid attack that left Ross scarred, which was meant for Kim’s step-grandson, Joe. On top of that, he has a rocky relationship with Aaron and is involved in illegal fighting with Billy. The question remains: will their issues stay in the ring, or will they come to blows outside of it? John Sugden could make for a great adversary, and I would really enjoy seeing scenes with Ruby and Caleb. Ross thrives in chaos!

Moira is dealing with a lot due to her brain tumor, and as we delve further into Ross's return, you’ll start to see how their relationship develops. Unlike many others, Moira genuinely trusts Ross, though having him back will bring her stress. In her perspective, Ross is like a wild card – he can either be at his best or at his lowest. She sees the possibility of him being a great asset.

I’ve been filming some romantic moments, but I can’t reveal who the love interests are! While I wasn't shocked by Ross's romantic partner, I’m really looking forward to it. There’s a more tender side to Ross that you’ll witness, especially in his relationship with his son, Moses, and with April, who is growing up fast!

As always, Ross finds himself in over his head. With his back against the wall, this is when he truly shines. Jade, who organizes the fights, is an intimidating presence. Twinnie-Lee Moore delivers a chilling performance that adds a significant intensity to her character.

He’s definitely going to be around for a brief period, but whether he continues on afterward depends entirely on our amazing producers and writers! I hope to stick around for a while, but since this is a soap opera, anything can occur… While he’s here, you can look forward to plenty of intense drama, thrills, and lots of excitement!
