The 30-year-old player, who started his career at Everton, has represented England 33 times.

Barkley has also played in the French league, previously representing the team Nice.

The player played in 32 games for Luton Town in the league last year, but couldn't stop the team from getting demoted from the top division.

Edwards Wishes Barkley Well

Rob Edwards, the manager of Luton Town, expressed his well-wishes for Barkley as he departs from Kenilworth Road. He mentioned that the midfielder is hopeful that joining Aston Villa will help him in his quest to make a comeback to international football.

Edwards expressed his disappointment over Ross leaving, but he understands the decision and wishes him well with gratitude.

"It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with him during one season. He truly stood out, creating many cherished moments for all of us and capturing the hearts of the fans. Although I'm certain everyone will grasp the chance that has come his way."

Ross values playing in the Premier League and Champions League. He also hopes to represent England on the field, viewing this as his top opportunity to achieve that goal.

We had a nice conversation, and Ross expressed gratitude to me and the club. We are parting ways amicably, and who knows what the future may bring.

"He appreciates all the fans and is looking forward to returning to watch a match. He even mentioned, 'I can't wait to come back for the Watford derby!'"

"Let's make sure to warmly welcome him back when he returns during the season. He will always be greeted with open arms."
