England's captain Harry Kane expressed that witnessing Portugal's star player Cristiano Ronaldo score his 901st goal at the age of 39 serves as a source of inspiration for him.

At a press conference before the UEFA Nations League match against Finland at Wembley on Tuesday, Kane, who is 31 years old, discussed his upcoming milestone of earning his 100th cap for the national team.

When asked about his future goals in international football, Kane mentioned that Ronaldo serves as a source of motivation for him.

"I'm currently feeling great, both in terms of my physical health and my mental well-being, and I believe I'm at the top of my career," Kane mentioned.

The Bayern Munich player went on to say, "Seeing other athletes, like Cristiano Ronaldo reaching his 901st goal, and witnessing him still competing at 39 motivates me to keep playing for as long as I can."

I'm truly passionate about this game and representing England means everything to me. I hope it continues for a long time.

For me, it's all about striving for improvement and maintaining consistency, whether I'm representing England or playing for my club.

"I'm eager for additional experiences. I'm committed to continually expanding my horizons."

"It really varies based on the situation, the coaches, and the different systems in place. As a player, I've always had the ability to play both offensively and defensively. I believe I possess the versatility to contribute effectively in both roles."

"For me, it's all about improvement. With Bayern and the new coach, there's a strong focus on intense pressing and dealing with high-pressure situations when we don't have the ball, which is really helping me develop my skills. I find it's quite similar with the England team as well."

Kane acknowledged that, even though he typically seeks to avoid focusing on personal achievements, he feels a sense of pride about reaching his 100th appearance.

Kane expressed, "It's truly significant. I often mention how it's tough to fully absorb these moments while you're in the game. I've talked before about the goalscoring record, but this achievement fills me with even more pride."

I’m genuinely excited about this event! My family will be there to share in the experience, and I know it will be a memorable moment that I’ll reflect on fondly when I retire.

"Realizing a Dream" - Gomes and Gibbs-White Excited to Receive England Invitations

Interim manager Lee Carsley expressed that even though he has only collaborated with Kane for a brief time, it’s clear to him how driven the forward is.

Carsley Praises Kane's Commitment And Motivation

"I've been working with him for about a week now, and right from the start, it's clear how driven he is, how dedicated he is, and what a great role model he is for the other players. He’s always the first one to arrive for every session," Carsley noted.

It was obvious right from the start how driven he is to claim a major championship, which is fantastic for anyone who joins the team.

England players are prepared for any environment when facing the Republic of Ireland, according to Carsley.

In response, Kane expressed glowing admiration for the enthusiasm that Carsley has infused into the role.

"It’s been great," Kane mentioned. "There's a fresh vibe around here, especially after the letdown of the summer's conclusion."

Working with the boss has been wonderful up to this point. He has shared his vision and the style of play he desires from us. I believe the guys have really appreciated it.

"Our team features a balanced blend of young talent and seasoned players. You can really see the enthusiasm on the faces of the newcomers."

Carsley: FA Will Choose The Right Candidate

Carsley asserts that he is concentrating on the current responsibilities and is confident that the FA will select the most suitable candidate for the position.

"I make an effort to avoid focusing on myself too often," he remarked.

The most qualified candidate should be awarded the position.

"I understand what my responsibilities are for the upcoming three camps, and I'm at ease with it."

Carsley insists that not singing the national anthem doesn’t diminish his dedication.

Carsley has an abundance of talent available for the game against Finland on Tuesday.

Nevertheless, he maintains that there won’t be major alterations before the match at Wembley.

"Making 11 changes might send an unintended message," Carsley remarked.

One of the great aspects of this group is their strong drive to succeed.

There will be a couple of changes, but they won’t be major alterations.

"We need to ensure that we safeguard the players too."
