The ex-Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer, Robin Windsor, passed away at the age of 44 in a tragic event.

Many people are expressing their condolences for the celebrity, who became a contestant on the BBC contest in the year 2010 and competed in four seasons until 2013. He was eventually compelled to resign from the show after suffering from a herniated disc that left him paralyzed for four days.

Nonetheless, he ultimately came back for a unique occasion that resulted in the show's premier performance of a same-gender dance routine. This occurred in 2014, when he partnered with Aljaž Škorjanec for the groundbreaking performance.

During his stint on the show, Windsor had the privilege of partnering with some notable celebrities such as Patsy Kensit, a former star on EastEnders, Anita Dobson, Lisa Riley, and the business tycoon from Dragon's Den, Deborah Meaden. The highest they finished was when he was paired with actor Lisa Riley, where they placed fifth in 2012.

He also appeared on Strictly Christmas specials alongside DJ Sara Cox and Alison Hammond from This Morning. Susanna Reid was also part of those specials. On the latest episode of Good Morning Britain, Reid became emotional while talking about Windsor's passing. This happened on February 20th.

Burn the Floor, the dance company established by Windsor, was the first to announce his demise, stating that the dancer had "sadly left us" in a tragic manner.

The message went on to say: "His abilities, demeanor, liveliness, and character contributed to the esteemed reputation of the Burn the Floor performance. Although there will always be a sense of loss, our cherished recollections will endure for eternity."

James Jordan, who used to be a professional dancer on Strictly, showed his respect for Windor by referring to him as an "old friend".

On Instagram, Jordan wrote about her many years of collaboration with this man on Strictly and the joyful memories they shared. She shared that he consistently demonstrated warmth and personable character, which drew people towards him. He was fondly admired by everyone he interacted with, including his celebrity partners and colleagues.

Windsor, who began dancing when he was just three years old, shared with The Sun his difficult choice to withdraw from Strictly in 2014. He explained that he had no other option but to make this heartbreaking decision, as the risk was too high.

In the 2013 edition of 'Strictly Come Dancing', Robin Windsor was assigned to dance with Lisa Riley.

In an interview, he mentioned that if he had experienced the slipped disc while dancing, it could have led to enduring nerve injury and resulted in using a wheelchair.

When he was on Strictly, Windsor also danced with Kristina Rihanoff, who is also a professional dancer. They also continued dancing together in Burn the Floor.

Windsor grew up in Ipswich, Suffolk but decided to relocate to London at age 15 to focus on his passion for dancing. He referred to himself as the "real-life Billy Elliot" and became renowned for his expertise in Ballroom and Latin dancing. He progressed to competing in various World Championship events, where he frequently represented England with great success.

Windsor has just performed in the Come What May show, a tribute to the famous Moulin Rouge.

Sisco Entertainment represented Windsor in multiple aspects of the entertainment industry, such as theatre and corporate events. They praised his performance as a display of intense passion, elegant grace, and remarkable skill.

According to the official announcement from the company, they stated that the individual in question possessed an exceptional talent for conveying feelings through his movements that enthralled spectators and held them mesmerized with each step.

Apart from Robin's flawless dance moves, his lively personality brightened up the entire space. He brought contagious energy and warmth to both rehearsals and performances. His laughter was infectious, and he possessed an endless amount of kindness.

Expressing her admiration for Windsor on GMB, a sentimental Reid declared: "Robin had an immense presence. I was truly captivated by him, and my passion for dancing flourished when I partnered with him in the past."

Before, Windsor has been in romantic partnerships with Davide Cin and Marcus Collins. The latter was a contestant on The X Factor, aired on ITV in 2011, and coached by Gary Barlow. In 2014, the duo posed for Gay Times magazine cover.

Currently, Collins is portraying the character of Andre in the Shaftesbury Theatre's production of Mrs Doubtfire in the West End.

The reason for Windsor's passing has not been revealed.
