They have not yet determined the reason for his death.

Fans hurried to honor the deceased celebrity - whose actual name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar - on social networking sites, filling the Instagram remarks of his final post with condolences.

Molerat responded: "Rest in peace to a legendary figure...it's insane. Thank you for inspiring me as a child to be great."

King_Quartez expressed his agreement by stating, "You will always be remembered as a legend. Rest in peace, my brother."

At the end of January, DuskOfJanuary wrote: "Get some rest Quan! We appreciate all the memories and impact you've had."

Jeanienoir commented: 'Wow, big brother, make sure to rest well. You will forever be remembered as a young, influential legend of the Rap music industry!!!! #Original #Pioneer #FashionLeader #RestInPeace.'

The musician from Atlanta gained fame in the early 2010s, releasing popular songs like Difference and Type of Way in 2013. Type of Way even reached the top 20 on the US R&B and hip hop charts.

Lamar continued his success with the singles Walk Thru and Blah Blah Blah, leading up to the release of his most popular hit, Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh) in 2015.

The famous song was selected from his album, If You Ever Think I Will Stop Goin’ In Ask RR (Royal Rich), and reached the eighth spot on the R&B charts, and 26th on the Billboard Hot 100.

In that year, he worked together with Tyga, Wale, YG, and Kid Ink on Ride Out, which appeared on the Furious 7 movie soundtrack.

Lamar faced many challenges on his path to success and originally had ambitions of becoming a baseball player. However, he ended up leaving college before completing his degree and resorted to a life of crime after being let go from his job.

He got caught by the police and had to spend 15 months in jail back in 2011, when he was only 21 years old. It was during this time that he discovered his artistic talents for the first time.

In 2014, he shared with XXL that being locked up made him reflect on his talents. As a child, he enjoyed reading and had a passion for literature and creative writing classes. While in jail, he read his first book with a deep understanding. Despite having read for years, this experience was a significant moment for him.

As soon as I grasped the true essence of reading, my thoughts soared to new heights. This newfound passion for literature inspired me to try my hand at writing poetry. Surprisingly, my verses morphed into catchy rhymes that just flowed effortlessly. It dawned on me to experiment with putting these rhymes to a beat.

"When I returned home, I felt like no one was listening to me. As soon as I released my first mixtape, I realized I still had a lot to learn. I decided to use the streets as my classroom, taking in every comment and observation. That's when I knew I needed to drop another mixtape and stand out from the crowd."

I never imagined I would reach this level of success with music. At first, music was just something I did for fun. I never thought I would ever perform on stage and excite audiences. However, after my time in jail, I started taking music more seriously, and that's when my dream finally became a reality.
