Messages of sorrow and remembrance have been sent from various sectors of the music world following the announcement of Rich Homie Quan's passing on Thursday, September 5th. He was 34 years old.

Quan's family member told Rolling Stone about his death. TMZ said he died at his Atlanta residence. The reason for his death has not been revealed yet.

Born Dequantes Lamar, Quan became well-known with his 2013 song "Type of Way," which reached number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Together with Young Thug, Quan joined Rich Gang, a project under Cash Money Records. Their song "Lifestyle" was a hit in 2014.

Some of his other popular songs are "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" and "Walk Thru (Feat. Problem)."

He had a show scheduled in Atlanta, his hometown, in a couple of weeks at Nick Cannon's Wild N Out event. He was set to perform with artists like Wacka Flocka and Nardo Wick.

On platforms like Instagram and Twitter, other hip-hop artists such as 2 Chainz, Quavo, Megan Thee Stallion, and GloRilla expressed their sympathies for the deceased celebrity.

Rich Homie Quan Passes Away At 34

Popular Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, known for his work with Young Thug in the group Rich Gang, has passed away at the age of 34.

He started his career in 2011 and achieved widespread fame with his popular song "Type of Way" in 2013.

According to an article in Rolling Stone, a family member has confirmed his passing. The cause of his death has not been revealed at this time.

As reported by TMZ, his loved ones are devastated and filled with sorrow.
