"I decided to leave the Democratic Party and run as an independent for a few main reasons, which ultimately led me to endorse President Trump," he explained.
Mr. Kennedy is related to former US President John F. Kennedy, who was a member of the Democratic party and tragically died in 1963.
RFK Jr was only 14 years old when his father, Robert F. Kennedy, who previously served as the US attorney general and was also the brother of President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated.
