Harrow Council pays tribute to Remembrance Sunday with poppy display — Times News Global
Harrow Council is happy about how the community is recognizing Remembrance Sunday as the next parade comes closer on November 12th. Cllr Paul Osborn, the Leader of Harrow Council, wrote in the MyHarrow newsletter about the council's plan to put big poppies up on the borough's high streets. This is the first time they've done this and it's a way to show respect and honor to the soldiers who have served for our country.
On Remembrance Sunday, we honor the courage and selflessness of those who fought for our freedom. This important day prompts us to remember their unwavering commitment and valor, inspiring us to gather as a community to express our gratitude and reflect on their sacrifices.
The Harrow community is coming together for the Remembrance Sunday Parade, which is recognized as one of the biggest events in London. It is expected to be a deeply emotional occasion where people pay their respects. This year, the parade holds special meaning because it will be the last event held at the old Harrow Civic Centre before the war memorial is relocated to Harrow Town Centre in the next few months.
If you want to join, the Remembrance Sunday Parade is happening on November 12th, Sunday. The parade will start at 10 in the morning from the statue of Katie at St Ann’s Road and will move towards the Civic Centre.
