Reform UK candidates who could be about to enter parliament

Reform

A group of Reform UK candidates, with Nigel Farage at the helm, may have a chance of becoming members of parliament if their party's high polling numbers result in actual seats.

Farage, running in Clacton, is still the party's top chance to win a seat. Clacton, located in Essex, is the only UK area to have elected a Ukip MP in a general election. This victory was achieved by Douglas Carswell in 2015.

But, a recent MRP survey conducted by Find Out Now and Electoral Calculus suggested that Reform Party could secure 18 seats and receive a larger percentage of votes compared to the Conservative Party.

If that occurs, Reform MPs may possibly incorporate some of the following:

The business owner and head of Reform UK provided financial support to the party by lending over £1.4m during a difficult time before Farage took over as leader and donors began contributing funds.

Following his run in Hartlepool, where he came in third place in the 2019 election, he decided to run in the constituency of Boston and Skegness, which has a strong support for leaving the EU. This area has previously been represented by the experienced Conservative MP Matt Warman.

Tice, who has appeared as a broadcaster on GB News, is considered a skilled professional, although he may not have the same talent as Farage in engaging with viewers.

The ex-Conservative deputy chairman, who was once a member of the Labour party, is trying to win back the Ashfield seat he secured for the Tories in 2019 with a lead of 5,733 votes.

In March, he was elected as the first MP for Reform UK after being removed from the Tory party for making false statements about the London mayor, Sadiq Khan, being influenced by Islamists.

The ex-chairman of Southampton Football Club is campaigning in Great Yarmouth, a constituency that was won in 2018 by Brandon Lewis of the Conservative Party with a significant majority of 17,663 votes.

He secured a position for the Brexit party in the West Midlands area during the 2019 elections for the European parliament. Lowe, who works in agriculture, has represented Reform as their spokesperson on farming issues. In the past, he has stated that there is no concrete evidence to either prove or disprove the claims made by those supporting the idea of climate change.

The national organizer for Reform UK has a good opportunity to win seats in the Midlands, specifically in North West Leicestershire, because voter behavior in the area is difficult to predict.

Although the Conservatives have typically held this seat for a long time, Tory MP Andrew Bridgen is now serving as an independent after being kicked out of the party for making controversial remarks comparing Covid vaccines to the Holocaust. The direction of his votes may play a crucial role in determining the final results, especially with Labour and the Conservatives also vying for victory.

A study conducted by the advocacy organization DeSmog discovered that Matthews had shared an article in 2018 suggesting that the extremist figure Tommy Robinson had faced unfair treatment in the UK.

The candidate running for Reform UK in the Yorkshire constituency of Skipton and Ripon is a young individual who used to be a teacher and later started a company that creates software applications for schools.

Garvey is trying to defeat the Conservative former Northern Ireland secretary, Julian Smith, who won by a 23,694-vote margin in the 2019 general election.

The Reform UK representative, Keiron McGill, is looking to attract more support from older voters who are in favor of Brexit in Castle Point. In the 2015 election, Ukip received 20,400 votes and came in second place in the Essex area.

He is trying to defeat Rebecca Harris from the Conservative party, who is the current representative for a constituency that has always been a focus for Farage's different political groups.

Sean Matthews, a ex-police officer from the Metropolitan Police, is trying to win against Victoria Atkins, the health secretary, in Louth and Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Victoria Atkins currently holds a 28,868 vote lead.

Even though Reform's chances of winning the seat are slim, a recent YouGov MRP poll showed the party leading in the constituency. This area had a high percentage (69%) of residents voting to leave the European Union in the Brexit referendum.

According to the latest MRP polls, Conlay is likely to win the Conservative seat in Basildon and Billericay. Basildon was closely associated with the Conservative party in the 1980s due to the concept of "Basildon man", a voter stereotype from a working-class background who supported Thatcher's policies.

If Conlay, a businessman who is mostly retired from running retail and property businesses, wins, it would mean that Richard Holden, the chair of the Conservative party, loses his seat. This outcome could be one of the most surprising results of the evening.
