Last weekend, Rebecca Ferguson made an appearance at the New York premiere of Dune: Part Two.

While filming, an actor screamed at Rebecca Ferguson, causing her to cry. She refused to work with them after the incident.

During an episode of the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, the famous Swedish actress revealed that she had previously collaborated with a "complete imbecile" as her co-star.

She shared that she discovered how to assert herself after being criticized by the celebrity, and eventually requested that they avert their gaze while she performed.

Ferguson kept the identity and gender of the co-star secret and did not disclose it.

In more casual English, the actress from "Dune: Part Two" stated that her fellow actor was feeling very insecure and angry because they were struggling to perform their scenes. They would even openly criticize her in front of the rest of the crew, saying things like "You call yourself an actor? This is the best I can work with?"

She expressed feeling very frightened about the argument that caused her to receive a verbal tirade. Nevertheless, Ferguson asserted that she confronted them about their conduct.

She clarified that since that person was top-billed for the call sheet, there was no cushion for her, thus no one supported her.

According to the blog post, she instructed the person to leave the set and informed them that she would be focusing on a tennis ball to avoid any further interaction with them. She also expressed her desire to not have any future encounters with this individual.

The producers stated that the leading actor had to be given priority on the set as they were the most important. However, Ferguson did not agree with this and instead asked to perform in a way that her co-star's head would be in front of her.

I believed that it was not necessary for things to be like that. I recall approaching the director after the incident and inquiring, "What is transpiring?"

The director acknowledged, "You're correct, I am neglecting the needs of others. My focus is solely on assisting this individual due to the precarious situation they are in."

"It was fantastic once everything fell into place, but it took me quite some time to reach that point," she expressed.

She mentioned that she has recently gained enough self-assurance to confront this kind of conduct, but it took around a decade or so for her to reach this point. She had started performing when she was 16 years old.

Ferguson didn't reveal the identity of her co-star, but she confirmed that it was neither Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible nor Hugh Jackman from The Greatest Showman, where he played the lead role.

She said: "It doesn't matter who they are, I will make an effort to keep this secret."

In 2014, Dwayne Johnson co-starred with Ferguson in the movie Hercules. Johnson responded to a video clip of Ferguson's interview on X, stating that he disliked seeing it, but admired her for standing up to it.

Someone helped me out on set and it felt like a miracle. I really appreciate Rebecca for the help she provided and would love to identify the person responsible for it.
