Rebecca Ferguson refuses to work with co-star who screamed at her
Last weekend, Rebecca Ferguson was present at the New York launch of Dune: Part Two.
Rebecca Ferguson, an actress, has revealed that she once declined to collaborate with a co-star who yelled at her during a filming session, making her cry.
During an appearance on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, the celebrated Swedish actress recounted a time when she collaborated with an "utterly foolish co-star".
She mentioned that she acquired the ability to defend herself after the celebrity rebuked her, and she ultimately requested them to look away while she was performing.
Ferguson kept the identity and gender of the co-star a secret.
The performer from the sequel of "The Dune" stated that another actor appeared to be feeling unsure about themselves and upset because they struggled with delivering their lines. In front of everyone on set, this person directed their frustration towards me by questioning my abilities as an actor.
She mentioned feeling incredibly frightened when she was faced with the confrontation, during which she was subjected to being yelled at. Nonetheless, Ferguson declared that she addressed their behavior.
She clarified that since this individual was listed as the top priority on the call sheet, I did not have any protection or support from anyone.
She claimed that she instructed the person to "leave my filming location" and warned them by saying: "I'll be aiming for a tennis ball. I do not wish to cross paths with you in the future."
The producers insisted that the leading actor be given priority access to the set because they were the top priority. However, Ferguson decided to stand behind her co-star and only show the back of her head during her scene.
I believed that it was not necessary for things to be like that, and I recall approaching the director after the occurrence and asking, "What is going on?"
The head of the organization acknowledged, 'You're correct, I'm neglecting my duties towards others. I'm putting in extra effort towards a particular individual due to their volatile situation.'
"She stated that it was amazing from that point on, but it took me a considerable amount of time to reach that stage."
She stated that she has acquired the courage to confront this type of conduct only "in the past decade or so, even though I've been participating in acting since I was sixteen."
Ferguson didn't mention the name of her co-star, but she made it clear that it was neither Tom Cruise whom she acted alongside in Mission Impossible, nor Hugh Jackman, who played the lead in The Greatest Showman.
She stated: "No matter who the individual is, I will attempt to keep this information to myself."
Dwayne Johnson, who acted alongside Ferguson in the movie Hercules in 2014, responded to a video of her interview on X. His comment was, "It pains me to see this, but I admire her for standing up to it."
On our set, Rebecca acted as my heaven-sent protector. I have great affection for her and am determined to discover the culprit behind this incident.
