Dune star Rebecca Ferguson says former film co-star 'screamed' at her

Rebecca Ferguson, who plays a leading role in Dune, recently shared that a previous co-star yelled at her on the film set. This caused her to become upset and walk away from the situation in tears.

In the latest episode of the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, the Swedish actress talked about her experience of working on film sets when she was younger. She's now 40.

In the podcast, Rebecca shared that there is one particular co-star whom she thinks is a complete idiot and will never collaborate with in the future. This decision stems from how the individual treated her while they were working on a previous movie together. However, she clarified that this person is not Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise, with whom she worked on The Greatest Showman and Mission Impossible, respectively.

She recalled a time when someone was feeling very uncertain and irritable because they were struggling with the scenes. This individual's behavior made her feel uneasy and exposed, eventually leading to her getting yelled at.

However, as this individual held the top position on the list of actors for the call sheet, I found myself without any support or safety measures on this shoot. During an appearance on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast this Tuesday, Rebecca Ferguson - known for her role in Dune - shared an upsetting experience she had with a fellow co-star on a previous film. According to Ferguson, the said co-star shouted at her, causing her to burst into tears and leave the set.

During a recent episode of the podcast, the 40-year-old Swedish actress spoke about her experiences while working on set as a younger actor. She shared her thoughts on what life was like during those times.

Rebecca remembered how her fellow actor would make derogatory comments towards her while filming, such as questioning her abilities as an actor and expressing frustration with the quality of their scenes. These criticisms were often made in front of the entire crew and sometimes included coarse language.

She expressed, "I was standing there feeling shattered."

Rebecca was expecting the producers to support her during that scenario, however, she mentioned that they failed to do so.

But when the co-star displayed a bad temper, Rebecca said that the following day she finally spoke out. She firmly told the co-star to leave the set.

She recounted feeling very frightened and shared, "I gazed at that individual and boldly stated, 'You better leave me alone. I'm going to chase after a tennis ball. I never want to lay eyes on you again.'"

According to Rebecca, the production team prohibited her from performing a certain action on the "number one" actor as they had to be present on set.

The female performer remained firm in her decision and proposed that her co-star simply face away from her while she acted towards the back of their head. She followed through with this approach and recollected feeling incredibly frightened at the time.

According to Rebecca, she later approached the director following the incident and questioned why such conduct was permitted to persist.

In the podcast, Rebecca disclosed that there's one co-actor whom she considers to be an absolute fool. She had a terrible experience while working with this person on a previous film. This was revealed when she was seen attending the New York premiere for Dune: Part Two.

According to Rebecca, the actor whom she starred alongside in The Greatest Showman (depicted in the picture), was not Hugh Jackman.

It seems that Villeneuve made a good choice by splitting the enormous book into two, as critics have responded positively, even those who didn't particularly like the first half of the 2021 film.
