Real Madrid Line Up Versus Mallorca: Ancelotti Changes Tactics

Real Madrid

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, should use the same lineup that won the UEFA Super Cup when his team plays their first La Liga match against Mallorca on Sunday.

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, should use the same starting team that won the UEFA Super Cup for the team's first game in La Liga against Mallorca on Sunday. However, there might be a change in their game plan.

During a press conference before their upcoming game at Son Moix, Ancelotti expressed his excitement for the new 2024/2025 season and emphasized Madrid's determination to defend the title they won in the previous season.

"Mallorca is always unpredictable. We're unsure about how many tournaments we'll compete in, especially the Intercontinental Cup and the Club World Cup. One thing that is certain is that we're all ready to compete."

With over 70 games ahead, Madrid is set to compete in seven different competitions this season. They have already secured one trophy by defeating Europa League champions Atalanta 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup final held in Warsaw.

The Italian team played well in the first half but were unfortunate not to score first. However, in the second half, Ancelotti's team showed their skills with players like Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Kylian Mbappe all contributing to the two goals that made their manager one of the most successful in club history.

As expected, Ancelotti will not make any adjustments to the personnel for the upcoming trip to Mallorca. However, he will change the formation from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-1-2-3 in other areas of the team.

This indicates that instead of playing as a solo forward, the striker number 9 Mbappe will be positioned in the center as the main focus of the attack, with Vinicius on his left and Rodrygo on his right for support.

Ancelotti stated that Bellingham's adjusted position will remain the same, but even further back is the only pivot, Aurelien Tchouameni.

The English player teams up with the scorer of the first goal against Atalanta, who was assisted by Vinicius, in Fede Valverde.

In the defense, Thibaut Courtois' goalkeeper area is guarded by Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, and Ferland Mendy.

Real Madrid's lineup against Mallorca will feature Courtois in goal, with Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, and Mendy in defense. Tchouameni will play in the midfield, alongside Valverde and Bellingham. In the attack, Rodrygo, Mbappe, and Vinicius will lead the team.
