Moving tribute to Kroos at the Santiago Bernabéu

Toni Kroos recently received a heartfelt tribute at the Santiago Bernabéu during his final match at our stadium. The German footballer announced his plans to retire from professional football following Euro 2024 on May 21st. His teammates and the Madrid supporters gave him a touching farewell, leaving the player feeling emotional.

Before the game against Betis, Kroos was honored at Santiago Bernabéu with a big banner displaying his image and 22 titles he earned at Real Madrid, accompanied with the message "Thank you legend". The Real Madrid and Betis players stood in line to pay respects to Kroos, who wore a shirt with the number 8. In the 86th minute when Ceballos replaced him, the fans gave him a standing ovation. As he left the pitch, the great German player hugged each of his teammates and the coaching staff including Carlos Ancelotti.
