Ruben Amorim has committed to assisting Marcus Rashford in regaining his peak performance, as rumors about the player’s future continue to circulate.

The 27-year-old didn't participate in the incredible comeback victory against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, but he did practice at Carrington earlier in the day before the match.

On Wednesday morning, our new head coach held an early press conference at Carrington to discuss the upcoming Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Tottenham Hotspur, which takes place on Thursday night.

One of the initial inquiries directed at the Portuguese player focused on what lies ahead for Marcus, who has netted 138 goals since his debut with the first team in 2016.

Press Conference Recap: Spurs Match

Press Conference Highlights: In the first segment, Ruben Amorim discusses Garnacho, Rashford, and updates on the team's status ahead of the away match against Spurs.

"I had individual conversations with many players, as well as discussions during practice," Amorim shared.

"I aim to get the most out of Marcus Rashford and the rest of the team. Let's focus on the here and now instead of what lies ahead. My goal is to succeed and improve the team. Having Marcus Rashford on our side enhances our performance, and that's a clear fact. We need to motivate him to reach the heights he's achieved before."

"A club like this requires exceptional talent. He has that talent, so the main thing is to deliver outstanding performance. That's what I'm concentrating on—I simply want to support Marcus."

The 39-year-old shared that he hadn't talked to Rashford since Sunday because the players had a day off. However, Amorim emphasized that what really matters is that every player in the team is prepared for the upcoming challenges the club will face together.

"We're facing a fresh challenge," he started off, outlining the situation the club is currently in.

"It's definitely a challenging situation; to me, it's the greatest test in football. We're in a tricky spot, and this is among the top clubs globally. It's an opportunity unlike any other, and I trust that everyone is prepared for it."

"I haven’t had a chance to talk to Marcus since the weekend. I gave the team a day off. However, he's still part of our squad and is prepared for the upcoming match."
