BBC Radio 2 in the Park kicks off in Preston with final ticket giveaway

Radio 2 in the Park

Today, the Radio 2 in the Park event begins at Moor Park in Preston. The festivities start off with a Pre-Party in the evening, where the presenters will be spinning tunes on the DJ stage.

Jeremy Vine and Richie Anderson were broadcasting live in Preston. Radio 2 listeners in the city had the opportunity to win tickets to the festival this weekend by calling in when Jeremy's voice interrupted a song during the Breakfast Show.

In addition to showcasing artists on the main stage and hosting DJ sets in the tent, Radio 2 hosts will be going live from a studio at Moor Park. You can catch their shows and performances live or on demand on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer throughout the weekend and for a month after.

Sting is the main act performing at the festival on Saturday night, while Pet Shop Boys will be headlining on Sunday night. Both of their headline performances will be shown on BBC Two, with Sting's set airing at 10:15pm on Saturday and Pet Shop Boys' set airing at 10pm on Sunday.
